It is cooking out there at the moment, the Industrial & Logistics sector has got out of the blocks fast in 2025, we have project work breaking all over the UK.Hot of the press, is a Freelance Design Manager position, a cracking role for a start straight away.
Are you a Design Manager with Industrial & Logistics project experience?
Have you managed delivery design for major new build and refurb projects?
Are you happy working from home, head office and on site in equal measure?

Freelance Design Manager roles & responsibilities:
- Lead the Design process: Ensuring designs are produced on time and to a high standard
- Compliance: Ensuring that designs meet all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Managing stakeholders: Working with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that everyone is collaborating effectively
- Managing documentation: Maintaining thorough documentation of the design process, including design briefs, approvals, and compliance records
- Managing costs: Ensuring that designs are cost-effective and align with the project's budget, value engineering where possible
Freelance Design Manager experience required
- Minimum 10 years' Design Manager experience
- Extensive Main Contractor Design Manager experience
- Industrial & Logistics project experience - Distribution Centres, Warehouses, Mnaufacturing Facilities etc.
- Degree educated or similar
- Excellent communication skills
