My client are a well established Tier 1 Main Contractor with an office in Manchester, and currently have a number of exciting new projects in place which they are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their Manchester region.
Assistant Estimator Responsibilities:
- Assisting in preparing bid proposals and tender documents.
- Conducting site visits to understand project scope and gather relevant data.
- Utilising estimating software and tools to create and manage estimates.
- Maintaining accurate records of estimated and actual project costs.
- Assisting in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and risks.
- Staying updated with industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A proven background working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interest in construction estimating and project management.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective communication and interprsonal skills.
